Artist Statement

Wanyan Wu is a jewellery artist based in China and Birmingham. She previously served as an artist-in-residence at Birmingham School of Jewellery. She primarily works with enamel to create narrative jewellery inspired by childhood memories of candy, crafting pieces that evoke warmth and playful nostalgia. In terms of technology, her goal is to discover an innovative breakthrough that combines the traditional craftsmanship of enameling and lamp-glass working with the cutting-edge industry techniques of 3D printing. Her artwork has been showcased at major art exhibitions in China and Europe.
